Sri Lanka industrial park starts operations
Jan 11, 2010 (LBO) - An industrial park with eight factories, including one making sensors for aero industries, has started in Sri Lanka's Kadawatha area in the Western province, an official said.

The factories at the Flinth Industrial Park inculde Aero-Sense (Pvt) Ltd, which is producing sensors for aircraft, board of investment chief Dhammika Perera said.

Other factories are producing items such as speciality flooring for hospitals and cables, Perera said.

The industrial estate is eventually expected to generate 2,000 jobs in five years, he said.
